Adam Winter Named Head Baseball Coach at Fort Smith Northside
Fort Smith Northside High School has named Adam Winter as the new head baseball coach of the Grizzlies.
Winter brings six years of head coaching experience to the Northside program, with a reputation for building competitive teams and restoring winning cultures.
He spent three seasons at Subiaco Academy, where his leadership resulted in nine new program records. He then took over at Southside High School in Batesville, where he elevated the program to new heights over the past three years.
While at Southside, Coach Winter led the Southerners to historic achievements:
District Tournament Champions for the first time since 1986
Conference Champions for the first time since 2001
Back-to-back state tournament appearances for the first time since 1992
Set the school record for single-season wins in 2024
Winter’s accomplishments have also earned him individual recognition. He was named:
2022 4A-4 All Star Coach
2024 4A-3 Coach of the Year
2025 4A-6 Coach of the Year
Winter will be joined by his wife, Ashlyn, and their daughter, Rory.
