Arkansas Record Books Rewritten: Tuckerman Softball, Bergman Basketball Lead Latest Updates
The Arkansas Activities Association has released its latest round of record book updates, and the 2024–25 school year produced a wave of new entries across baseball, softball, and basketball. From small-town standouts to powerhouse programs, athletes across the state made their mark on history.
Tuckerman Softball Dominates
No program left a bigger impression this past spring than Tuckerman softball. The Bulldogs turned in one of the most complete seasons in Arkansas history, setting or climbing into the top ten in nearly every major offensive category.
The team scored 374 runs, collected 386 hits, and ripped 81 doubles, while also swiping 120 bases. Their 265 singles set a new state record, and their .411 batting average and .613 slugging percentage ranked among the best ever.
Individually, senior stars led the charge. Bristen Wheeler smashed 14 home runs and drove in 67 RBIs, while Maddyx Soden scored 57 runs and drew 31 walks, both season marks now cemented in the record book. Gracee McGuire chipped in with 58 RBIs, giving Tuckerman one of the most feared lineups in recent memory.
Carlisle’s Jessa Wiles Leaves Her Legacy
Carlisle’s Jessa Wiles capped off her career with numbers that will stand for years. She finished with 146 career runs scored, 127 singles, and 94 stolen bases — all ranking among the best in Arkansas history. Her versatility at the plate and on the bases made her one of the most complete players of her era.
Bergman Girls Light It Up From Deep
On the hardwood, Bergman cemented its reputation as a three-point factory. Kiersten Lowry drained 117 threes during the 2024–25 season, pushing her career total to 316. Teammate Jacey Halitzka added 116 more, giving Bergman an almost unstoppable perimeter attack.
Together, the Lady Panthers poured in 397 three-pointers as a team last season, securing a spot among the top all-time programs in Arkansas basketball history.
Boys Basketball Breakthroughs
The boys’ side saw its share of fireworks as well. Flippin’s Rilyn Robins closed his career with 2,496 points, while Lead Hill’s Dawson Lively set single-season marks with 269 assists and 113 steals. His teammate, Noah Royce, lit up scoreboards with 132 threes, including six in a single half against Cotter on Jan. 24, 2025.
Elsewhere, Genry’s Nehemiah Harrington turned in one of the most memorable shooting nights of the year, hitting 11 three-pointers in a game on Dec. 27, 2024.
Baseball Standouts Step Up
On the baseball diamond, Greenland’s Brandon Vaughan crossed the plate 147 times during his career, while teammate Jack Stockton drove in 122 runs. Pottsville’s Elijah Morris put together one of the most efficient seasons ever, reaching base at a staggering .707 clip in 2025.
