The 2026 high school football season gives ArkansasVarsity.com another opportunity to evaluate one of the state’s deepest groups of rising seniors.
The ArkansasVarsity.com Class of 2027 Top 25 is about more than recruiting attention. These rankings are our evaluation of the best players in Arkansas based on production, physical ability, potential, impact on their high school teams and what we’ve seen from them entering and during their senior seasons.
These rankings will remain fluid. Players will move. New names will emerge. What happens on Friday nights matters.
For our first Class of 2027 Top 25, Bryant defensive standout Samuel Nelson takes the No. 1 spot, while Marion running back Jeremiah Dent and Jacksonville running back Mason Ball round out the top three.
Sheridan is particularly well represented with three players in the Top 20 — Isaiah Stephens, Bradley Sturdivant and Eythan Cowden.
