Donnie Smith Named Head Boys Basketball Coach at Dover High School

Dover High School has announced Donnie Smith as the new Head Senior High and Junior High Boys Basketball Coach. He steps into the role following the departure of Coach Andrew Vire, who has accepted a position as Director of Athletics at Gravette.

Coach Smith brings more than 20 years of coaching experience and a strong track record of success. For the past seven years, he has led the Marshall Bobcats, guiding the program to multiple conference and district championships, regional tournament appearances, and back-to-back trips to the state finals. His commitment to player development and basketball fundamentals has made a lasting impact at every stop in his career.

Off the court, Coach Smith enjoys spending quality time with his wife of 35 years, Paula, and their family. Whether traveling or simply making memories together, family remains a central part of his life.
