Fordyce Softball Cancels Remainder of Season Due to Roster Shortage
The Fordyce High School softball team has canceled the remainder of its season due to a lack of available players, school officials announced.
In a message to supporters, the program said the decision was made after a significant reduction in the roster caused by injuries and other unforeseen circumstances.
“This was not a decision we made lightly,” the statement read. “Our team values the commitment, time and enthusiasm that so many of you have contributed, and we are incredibly grateful for your continued support throughout the season.”
The team indicated that continuing the season was no longer feasible given the limited number of players available.
Despite the early end to the season, the program expressed appreciation for the support shown by the community, parents and fans.
“Your encouragement and dedication mean a great deal to our players and staff, and we look forward to the opportunity to return stronger in the future,” the statement said.
