Week 2 Arkansas High School Football Scores & Notes
Friday night in Arkansas was everything high school football fans love—thrilling finishes, statement wins, and a few upsets that shook things up as teams continue to battle through non-conference play.
The spotlight shined on Bryant once again as the Hornets rolled to a 49-6 victory over Little Rock Parkview, extending their dominance in the series to 7-1 since 2002. The defending 7A powers continue to look like a well-oiled machine heading into conference action.
El Dorado made a statement in 6A, overpowering Arkansas High 48-14, while Siloam Springs kept its perfect record against Pea Ridge alive with a commanding 48-7 win.
One of the best storylines of the night came from Farmington, where the Cardinals edged Prairie Grove 28-27 in a one-point thriller. Elsewhere, Greenwood and Springdale Har-Ber battled in a classic, with Greenwood escaping 43-42 in a game fans won’t soon forget.
Not every game was close—Valley View blanked West Memphis 35-0, Warren dominated Watson Chapel 42-0, and Fordyce overwhelmed Mineral Springs 51-0.
Some teams crossed state lines and came home with tough losses. Ruston (La.) handled Cabot 63-28, West Monroe (La.) topped Pulaski Academy 31-17, and Texas power Lufkin shut out Little Rock Southwest 76-0.
And in a wild shootout, Rogers put up video game numbers in an 84-40 win over Sheridan, one of the highest-scoring games in the state this year.
