Publisher Luke Matheson was involved with Rivals.com for several years and stepped into the publisher role in late 2007. In 2025 ArkasnasVarsity.com went independent. Since then Luke has been working on forming relationships with coaches, athletes, parents, and administrators since that time.Also since the time that Luke has been publisher of ArkansasVarsity.com, he has formed partnerships withTHV 11 Sports, RedWolfRollCall.com, and Drive Time Sports.

You won't find publishers as dedicated to their community, sports, and athletes as Luke Matheson . Luke handles the day-to-day operations on ArkansasVarsity in addition to assisting athletes at football camps, speaking at recruiting clinics, and helping Rivals.com identify and evaluate talent.
Luke is a graduate of Pine Bluff High School and served eight years in the United States Army. Upon being discharged honorably from the US Army in 2006, he worked as a staff writer for ArkansasVarsity.com, before being named publisher in late 2007.
Luke and his wife currently reside in Rison with their three children.

Peyton Sanders - Staff Writer for ArkansasVarsity.com
Peyton is a 2023 graduate from Vilonia, Arkansas, and have spent his entire life growing up in Central Arkansas.
Before joining the Arkansas Varsity staff, he previously wrote for Athlon Sports, covering the Arkansas Razorbacks in the three major sports of Basketball, Baseball, and Football.
